Senior Community Relations Officer

POSITION’S SUMMARY:

The Senior Community Relations Officer provides support to the Manager of Community Relations in planning, developing, organizing, coordinating, facilitating, and directing numerous activities related to the areas of communications and community relations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain relationships with members of the community.

Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans that include community relations goals.

Assist the Community Relations Manager in reviewing and modifying the MOUs.

Assist the Community Relations Manager in generating sponsorship agreements.

Assist the Community Relations Manager in securing donations for the college.

Assist the Community Relations Manager in obtaining internship opportunities for students with external entities.

Follow-up with internal and external parties on MOU activation and implementation

Assist the Community Relations Manager in organizing workshops/seminars with other organizations to enhance LC community engagement.

Attend relevant events and activities to represent the College and build strong relationships with key community members.

Welcome visitors, parents, and new staff to the College through activities including but not limited to familiarization tours, enrolment information evenings, and responding to ad hoc inquiries.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure community programs are effectively integrated.

Address concerns and feedback from the community, ensuring a positive organizational image.

Assist the Community Relations Manager in analyzing community needs and trends to inform strategic initiatives.

Prepare regular reports for the Community Relations Manager on community relations efforts and outcomes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Able to work independently and have Coordinator experience.

Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.

Willing to learn new skills and deal with new and challenging situations enthusiastically.

Time Management.

Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
