I am a mechatronics engineer with 14 years’ experience in industry and academia. Currently I am an Assistant Professor in the Manufacturing Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport(AASTMT), Alexandria Egypt which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Since graduation in 2009, I have been responsible for developing, designing, and delivering lectures and demonstrations to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This has provided me with a wealth of experience in both research and teaching across a wide subject range of processes, technologies, and management.
I received my PhD in 2018 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aston University, UK. This research work included a method for optimization and investigation of vibration reduction through one-way irreversible nonlinear energy localization which requires no pre-tuning. Obtaining an optimum system is of great importance for automotive and vibration engineer involved in any design process. The manufacturing of springs and dampers affects a model which has comfort, performance, and safety as their main parameter to optimize. Using Genetic algorithm an automated optimization of the parameters was executed to meet performance requirements specified. Throughout the research I gained extensive experience in various experimental work and manufacturing technologies.
My research interests lie in Vibration and control focusing on the integration of various control methods. This is combined with a growing interest in mechanical design and their modern applications in aerospace, automotive and medical engineering.
